Williamsburg

We went to Williamsburg with my mom and dad. Our trip was a big success. Tricia loved the bus. Williamsburg became the capitol of Virginia in 1699. People became craftsmen. They started as an apprentice. Some trades were apothecary and shoemaker. My favorite trade is the wigmaker. He made wigs. Wigmakers used goat, horse, and human hair. Human hair was the most expensive. The worst part of this trip was the “Life as a Soldier” class. My favorite part was seeing Ms. Manderly’s house from the movie, “Felicity”.

We also visited the Governor’s Palace. It is an amazing palace that was built in Williamburg for the Governor. It is very beautiful and the gardens are amazing. We loved to walk through the maze. There were a lot of horses kept in the stables at the palace. The people dressed very nice. The ballroom had the only wall to wall carpet in the city. I liked my visit to the palace, but would not want to live there. It was too fancy.

Opinion Paragraph Writing Assignment

I think I should babysit Daniel. First, I am a very responsible girl. Next, I like to care for babies. Third, I know he likes breakfast bars and I would give them to him. Probably I would let him play in the sink because he likes to. Then I would play with him. Mommy would come home and we would be fine. I think I would be a fine babysitter.
